Western China International Economy and Trade Fair is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, and seven other central government departments, together with 12 western provinces and autonomous regions. It has been successfully held for 9 years and has become a major event for commodity displays, economic and trade exchanges and investment promotion for promoting the opening-up of Western China. Previous 9 sessions of the fair recorded 16,542 participating companies and exhibition area of 440,000 sqm.
The 10th WCIETF will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in October, 2009. It will take the theme of “Great opening-up, great cooperation, great exploitation, great development” and emphasize on Pan-Asian cooperation and exchanges.
